Think Tank2026 has already become an unusual year for Polish venture capital.
In the first six months alone, Polish innovative companies raised approximately PLN 4.6 billion. That is more than the PLN 3.3 billion invested during all of 2025 and above the previous full-year record of roughly PLN 3.6 billion.
There is one important caveat: two companies dominate the number. ElevenLabs and ICEYE raised approximately PLN 3.7 billion between them — around 80% of the entire H1 market. citeturn0search0turn0search3
Behind those two enormous rounds, however, there has been a busy early-stage market. PFR Ventures and Inovo recorded 46 transactions in Q1 and another 43 in Q2. Of those 89 transactions, 68 were seed or pre-seed. citeturn0search1turn0search3
Here are some of the Polish startups that have publicly disclosed funding in 2026 so far.

The year began with a number large enough to distort the entire Polish VC market.
ElevenLabs raised PLN 1.81 billion in Q1. PFR Ventures describes the financing as unprecedented in the Polish ecosystem. Between 2023 and 2026, the company raised approximately PLN 2.9 billion in total. citeturn0search1turn0search24
The company, founded by Polish entrepreneurs and built around generative voice AI, has become the clearest example of a new kind of Polish technology business: technically rooted in the Polish talent ecosystem, international almost from birth and financed at global rather than regional scale.
Three months later, ICEYE produced the second extraordinary round of the year.
PFR Ventures records an approximately PLN 1.9 billion mega-round in Q2. Together, ICEYE and ElevenLabs accounted for PLN 3.7 billion of the PLN 4.6 billion invested in Polish innovative companies during H1. citeturn0search0turn0search3
ICEYE develops synthetic-aperture radar satellite technology and has become one of the most important Polish-founded deeptech companies. Its growth also reflects a broader shift in the region toward space, defence and dual-use technology.
If ElevenLabs and ICEYE are removed from the picture, Viktor may be the most interesting round of the year.
The company raised PLN 274 million — approximately €65 million — in a Series A led by Accel. PFR and Inovo describe it as the largest Series A in the history of the Polish VC market. Investors listed in the Q2 report include Accel, Bek Ventures, Kaya VC, Inovo VC, Tenacity Capital and angel investors. citeturn0search0turn0search3
The round is interesting for another reason: a global top-tier fund led it while a Polish investor, Inovo, remained at the table. That is increasingly how successful Polish startups finance their transition from local ecosystem to global scale.
GRAI was one of the larger seed transactions highlighted in Q2. The round brought together a notably international investor group including Khosla Ventures, Inovo VC, Tensor Ventures, Tiny, Flyer One and an a16z Scout, alongside angels.
It is a useful example of the growing co-investment pattern between Polish and foreign funds. PFR reports that the number of co-investments involving Polish and international funds increased 60% year on year in H1 2026. citeturn0search0
Microamp, which works on advanced wireless and 5G connectivity technology, raised approximately €6.5 million. The European Innovation Council Fund was among the disclosed investors.
The company sits in a category Poland increasingly wants more of: technically difficult businesses built around engineering and intellectual property rather than inexpensive development capacity.
The mega-rounds make the headlines, but most Polish startups raising capital in 2026 look nothing like ElevenLabs.
In Q1, 35 of 46 transactions were seed or pre-seed. In Q2, 33 of 43 were seed or pre-seed. That gives 68 early-stage transactions in six months. citeturn0search1turn0search3
Companies such as Rainbow Weather, FlyFocus, FOTOHub, Tequipy, Demoboost, Replenit, Graftcode, Paymove and Molfar are part of this much wider layer of the ecosystem. Some round details remain private, and no public PFR release provides a complete company-by-company list of all 89 H1 transactions.
That limitation matters. Any public list of “all Polish startups funded in 2026” is necessarily incomplete unless it has access to private transaction data.
Put the first half of 2026 into three buckets and the concentration becomes obvious:
| Funding bucket | Approx. value | Share of H1 |
|---|---|---|
| ICEYE | PLN 1.90bn | ~41% |
| ElevenLabs | PLN 1.81bn | ~39% |
| Every other investment combined | ~PLN 0.89bn | ~19% |
The headline is therefore simultaneously true and misleading. Polish startups really did raise PLN 4.6 billion in six months. Around four-fifths of it went to two companies. citeturn0search0
Remove ElevenLabs and ICEYE and the rest of the ecosystem raised roughly PLN 900 million.
The other side of the story is the number of transactions.
PFR-backed funds participated in around half of Q1 early-stage deals and in 19 transactions in Q2, including 17 seed investments. citeturn0search1turn0search3
This supports a picture we explored in our guide to investors in Poland: Poland increasingly has functioning early-stage capital. The financing gap becomes more visible when companies need much larger Series A, B and growth rounds.
Viktor's round illustrates what happens next. A Polish company can reach the point where it needs tens of millions of euros, but the investor group quickly becomes international.
After only six months, the PLN 4.6 billion invested in Polish innovative companies had already exceeded the value recorded in any previous complete year in PFR's modern VC dataset. citeturn0search0
The asterisk is concentration.
The encouraging part is that Poland has produced companies capable of raising enormous global rounds. ElevenLabs and ICEYE are exactly the kind of outliers venture ecosystems are supposed to create.
The next test is repetition. Can today's 68 seed and pre-seed rounds eventually produce another Viktor, and can companies like Viktor eventually produce another ElevenLabs or ICEYE?
That question will tell us much more about the health of Polish venture capital than the headline PLN 4.6 billion.
This article covers publicly identifiable rounds announced or captured in market data during 2026 so far. We will update it as new investments are disclosed.
For the wider picture, see our guide to the Polish startup ecosystem, our database-style overview of Polish VC investors, and our guide to Polish AI companies.
Market totals and stage data are based primarily on PFR Ventures and Inovo VC's Polish VC Market Outlook Q1 and Q2 2026. Publicly disclosed deal information was cross-checked against current funding databases and company/investor announcements where available. PFR does not publicly identify every company behind all 89 H1 transactions, so this is a list of publicly identifiable rounds rather than a claim to be a complete registry.
